Thank You Matthew Strebe - A Book Review

10 years ago, BHF bought a book that would change our lives. Michael Strebe's From Serf to Surfer: Becoming A Network Consultant became the basis for R-Squared Computing.

Though it's a bit dated now, the book still has fantastic advice for anyone interested in starting off as a network consultant. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has considered taking the plunge.

Every few years, I dust off my copy and read it again. And every time I find something new and useful. It is packed full of practical advice and hard won wisdom. This book includes everything from how to find clients, understanding taxes, effective marketing, communication skills, project management and even sample contracts. Believe it or not, we're still using mostly the same contract we copied from this book!

I cannot recommend this book enough.

It was this book that got us started. Now, 10 years later, we are still following its principles and going strong. This book gave us the right foundation to build a lasting and successful business. Thank you Michael Strebe!
