Happy Noche Buena!

My family always celebrates Christmas Eve with a Noche Buena feast. I cook Cuban-style pork in a pit while the rest of my family prepares black beans and rice, yucca and all the other goodies. Soon we will enjoy good food, good drink and great company.

After about five hours of slow cooking, I pulled the pork shoulder out of the fire pit, carved it up and put it into the oven to stay warm. When I finish here, I will jump in the shower and prepare for the 45 (or so) guests we are expecting.

So, to all my gringo friends online I wish you a Feliz Noche Buena!
