People Matter More

Organization doesn't really accomplish anything. Plans don't accomplish anything, either. Theories of management don't much matter. Endeavors succeed or fail because of the people involved. Only by attracting the best people will you accomplish great deeds.

Don't spend too much time on project management, process flow charts, BusinessSpeak, strategic planning or all the rest of that mumbo-jumbo. Without the best people, you are doomed to failure.

• All the plans in the world are worthless if you don't have people that can implement them.
    
• All the preparation in the world is useless if your people don't have the skills to make it happen.
  
  
• All the management in the world is garbage if your people aren't worth a damn.

That is the ultimate truth of business, life, the universe and everything. People matter more than anything else. Without the right people, everything else is a waste of time.
