Why I Quit My Last Job

I spent far too many years having my soul drained working for other people. The greatest decision I ever made was to escape and work for myself. That was 10 years ago and it's still the best decision I ever made.
I will never forget the day...
My wife had just announced that she was pregnant with our first child. The next day I went in to work, then 5 minutes before the end of the day I quit. My wife and father-in-law nearly killed me!
I spent that entire day pretending to work. In truth I was measuring myself and asking myself incredibly hard questions. It took 7 hours and 55 minutes, but it became clear.
I have never regretted that decision. It was the day I took charge of my destiny and faced the future as the master of my life.

You see, I realized that I could never achieve my full potential working for someone else. I needed to be on my own, making the decisions that would impact my life.
I didn't want to be one of those fathers feeling trapped in a dead end job, living paycheck to paycheck. I wanted better for myself, my wife and my unborn child. I owed it to myself and to them to follow my dreams.
And that is exactly what I did.
My point is that only you can decide what you will do with your life. You have to decide to take control.  Once you do, everything else will fall into place.

That's enough of the Tony Robbins routine. You know what you need to do.  Go and do it.
