Try Something New

Don’t be afraid to try something new. As a business owner I have been in situations where I had to tackle a problem even though I had no idea what I was doing!

I remember sitting and arguing with an auditor for the State of Florida’s Department of Revenue because they claimed we owned $8000 in sales tax. We didn’t have the money to hire an accountant, so I screwed my courage to the sticking place and fought tooth and nail with the auditor. We settled the account for $250 because I refused to be beaten.

The point is you need to be fearless. Sometimes there is no one else there to get the job done. Roll up your sleeves and get to work. Nobody else will do it if you don't.
