Les Standiford's book about the power of obsession is a potent lesson to all business owners. This is the story of how railroad magnate Henry Flagler built the railroad that spans the east coast of Florida and how he pushed that railroad across the ocean to Key West. It describes the trials and tribulations of the men who worked to realize Flagler's dream and the price that everyone paid for his obsession. Excellent storytelling and good business lessons, if you know how to read between the lines.
